Ms. Sweet
This is my second year teaching 5th grade. I love 5th grade! I hold a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a TAG endorsement, ESOL endorsement, and a Bacheor's degree in Elementary Education from Florida A & M University. I have been teaching since 1996. I am very passionate about teaching and am so excited about this year.
Ms. Smith
I am Ms. Onike Smith. I have been teaching for over 10 years. I was the 2008-2009 Teacher of the Year, at DSES. Teaching is my 1st love. I graduated from Paine College, in Augusta, Georgia. I attended graduate school at Lesley University. I love to be creative, and I enjoy bringing my lessons to life, for my students.
Ms. Feldman
I am very excited to be apart of the 5th grade team here at DSES! I have been teaching 2nd grade for 6 years and am so excited to see some familiar (and older) faces down the 5th grade hall. I am orginially from Florida and graduated from FSU with a degree in Elementary Education. Two years ago, I went back to GSU and earned a masters in Early Childhood Education. One of the things that I am most excited about is being able to incorporate technology into our learning. It's going to be a great year!!
Ms. Magee
I am Robin Magee, and I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade. I have been teaching for nine years. This is my 5th year at DSES. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades previously. I have a Masters Degree in Education from University of Louisiana at Monroe as well as my PK through Fifth certification for Georgia State University. I am excited about the opportunity to integrate technology into the classroom while providing meaningful experiences for my students. I look foward to a wonderful school year.
Ms. Layton
This is going to be a fantastic year. I am looking forward to all the learning and fun that will be going on in the 5th grade halls. I am originally from New Jersey where I graduate with my Bachalors degree in Psychology and Education and my Masters in Special Education from Richard Stockton State College. I taught a 3rd/4th grade multi-age class for 5 years before moving to Atlanta and joining the DSES Team. I have been teaching at DSES for 5 years and have taught all the grades from K-5. This is my 10th year teaching and it gets better each year.
